Privacy Policy

Basically

I hate spam, you hate spam. When you give me your email address and other information on this website, I don’t give it to anyone else without your permission. Using this website is like using any other respectable website.

The only personally identifiable information which the Webmaster can see is what you specifically choose to give. Some information is collected about your computer, but this is only generic data, and is not personally identifiable. The only information made publicly available on this website is the information you choose to give specifically for publication (e.g. your name and comments on articles): I don’t publish or sell any of the data obtained during your use of this site. Contact information is never made available to the world, and will only be given up with the consent of the individual concerned.

During your interaction with any website, the server which hosts that site collects generic data about your computer. A log is also made of the pages visited and the files requested by your browser in the course of your visit to the site. Information is collected about what operating systems and browsers are being used to view the site, as well as about which files and pages are the most popular according to viewing ratings.

None of the information which is automatically collected can be connected to you personally—instead tallies are made of the various datasets, collating the results received from all the individual users of this site. The information is used to ensure that the coding employed on this site is compatible with the majority of the users’ browsers, and to examine trends in which operating systems and browsers are being used by this site’s users.

The server also records your IP address as you visit the site. This can provide the Webmaster with an approximate geographical location of the users. For most users, their IP address is not connected with them individually since it is distributed dynamically to them as they connect to their ISP. For some very few users, however, who connect to the Internet through a server owned and operated by them with a fixed IP address, this information could lead to their identification as a user of the site. However, IP addresses are not recorded in relation to which pages and files are being viewed.  If you do connect to the Internet through a fixed IP address, you are probably already a user who knows how to protect himself online.

Information collected is stored on the website’s hosting server, located in Pennsylvania, USA. Specifically, therefore, the information is being stored outside “the jurisdiction of the European Union”.

Use of this website implies acceptance of this privacy policy. For further information, please get in touch.
